My Story

It was summer of 2016 and I was a lifetime member of Weight Watchers, roller coaster dieter, Netfix junkie and Candy Crush champion (sigh…). I knew I was unhappy and kinda “stuck” in a physical and mental “rut” and I didn’t know how to reset my mental/physical self.  Some of my colleagues at work attended 4Ever Fit so I decided to give it a try. I was super-intimidated (more like scared to death) by the thought of a group class, so I signed up for personal training (at a time when no one else was at the studio). Tony talked to me about my background, my goals, and my hesitations and had an uncanny ability to push me out of my comfort zone just the right amount.  Over the next several weeks and months I began attending those group classes that used to scare me and found that I could do most of the moves! With each class, I gained confidence in my abilities and embraced the challenges that are inevitable.  It was actually fun! Along the way, the trainers and other members encouraged me to try things that seemed impossible and offered modifications for moves that were still beyond my abilities (I still remember the feeling of accomplishment when I did my first regular burpee without falling on my face… LOL!).

Fast forward to now… I am a group class “regular”, team training client and 4Ever Fit EMPLOYEE (What?!!! …Seriously…how did I get so lucky?).  My eating habits have become much healthier and I work out pretty much every day and haven’t felt this “fit” since high school! I even ran my first 5K at the age of (I’m not telling). My outlook on life is much more positive and I am so much more productive in all aspects of my life.

Though I have much to be thankful for, my 4Ever Fit family ranks pretty high on my gratitude list.…I cannot express in words how lucky I feel to have found 4Ever Fit at a time in my life when I desperately needed some guidance, motivation, and accountability.  I am certainly a “work in progress”, but for the first time in a verrrrrrry long time, I like where I am headed.  I feel like I have a new lease on life and I am excited to do whatever I can to help other people on their journey toward better health and wellness.
