My Story

Some of the first experiences I had with group exercise were as a child, exercising alongside my mom to videos from Jane Fonda, Billy Blanks, and Kathy Ireland. (WOW, I am aging myself! 😊). I loved working out side by side with someone and feeding off their energy. We had so much fun spending time together, and I also liked the confidence that came with accomplishing each workout. When I moved away to college, I got to experience live classes for the first time. I went to every class I could from kickboxing to Pilates. I have a dance background and thought to myself, maybe I could lead a class too. So I began the certification process and dove into learning and teaching step. I was completely hooked! I love the mental and physical challenge of it and I could feel myself getting stronger and becoming more confident. 15+ years later, I’m still loving every minute of it!

I love leading classes and inspiring others to lead a healthy lifestyle by making exercise a priority in their lives. My closest friends are people I have met in class. I have grown personally and professionally in ways I never thought possible. Teaching and being in front of the room used to take me out of my comfort zone, but it has melted away my shyness and changed me as a person. I love exercising with others and make it a point to emphasize that exercise can be FUN and super rewarding. What better investment to make than to invest in yourself? Thanks 4ever fit for allowing me to continue my life’s purpose!
